Abstract: RETRACTABLE MODULAR ANTI-FOULING SENSOR CARTRIDGE FOR LONG-DURATION AQUATIC MONITORING TINY-ML BASED EDGE ANOMALY DETECTION FOR WATER QUALITY MONITORING The invention provides a Modular Aquatic Sensing Cartridge [300] and a method for long-term sensor preservation in aquatic environments. The cartridge utilizes a "dry-dock" approach, where a Linear Actuator [140] extends sensors into the water only during active sampling. At all other times, sensors are housed in a Preservation Chamber [130] combining passive copper-alloy biostatic protection and active UV-C sterilization [150]. An Exposure Scheduling Algorithm ensures that sterilization occurs only when sensors are retracted, preventing environmental light pollution and maximizing sensor longevity. The modular, hot-swappable nature of the cartridge allows for rapid field maintenance and payload customization.
