Abstract: The present invention discloses ResQSign, an intelligent sign language communication and emergency assistance system designed to facilitate real-time interaction between hearing-impaired individuals and the general public. The system employs computer vision, deep learning, natural language processing, and speech synthesis technologies to recognize sign language gestures and translate them into text and speech outputs. Conversely, spoken or written language is converted into animated sign language through a virtual avatar, enabling bidirectional communication. The invention further incorporates an emergency assistance module capable of detecting predefined distress gestures and automatically generating alerts containing user information and location details. The system operates through web-based, mobile, cloud, or edge computing platforms without requiring wearable devices. By integrating communication accessibility with emergency response functionality, the invention improves social inclusion, safety, and quality of life for hearing-impaired individuals while providing an affordable, scalable, and user-friendly assistive communication solution.
