Abstract: ABSTRACT RESPONSE REQUEST FOR AIOT DEVICE Example embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to response request for ambient Internet of things (AIoT) device. In a method, a second apparatus transmits a paging message to a first apparatus such as an AIoT device. The paging message indicates at least one apparatus to response to the paging message, and further indicates whether at least one response to at least one request from the second apparatus is required. The first apparatus receives the paging message from the second apparatus. If the paging message indicates the at least one response is required, the first apparatus transmits, to the second apparatus via backscattering, a data transmission including the at least one response to the at least one request.
