Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus analyzes data, received from a first Open Radio Access Network (ORAN)-Centralized Unit Control Plane (O-CU-CP), associated with the first O-CU-CP. The apparatus detects a failure of the first O-CU-CP based on the analysis of the data associated with the first O-CU-CP. The apparatus determines to switch services from the first O-CU-CP to at least one second O-CU-CP in response to detection of the failure. The apparatus transmits, to each O-Distributed Unit (O-DU) associated with the first O-CU-CP, a request to deactivate one or more corresponding cells of each O-DU. The apparatus receives, from each O-DU, a result notification indicating whether the request to deactivate is one of fully completed, partially completed, or has failed. The apparatus configures, each O-DU, to connect with the at least one second O-CU-CP based on the result notification.
