MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611010766 A) filed by Frog Innovations Limited on February 02, 2026, for Repeater Apparatus And Method For Minimizing Uplink Noise (joe - Just On Edge) Contribution Toward Base Transceiver Station.

Inventors include Konark Trivedi; Rajnish Narayan; Pradeep Saklani; and Shashikant Yadav.

The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: A repeater apparatus with an adaptive uplink gain control system (JOE – just on edge) comprises donor antenna configured to receive downlink RF signals from a BTS and service antenna configured to communicate RF signals with one or more user devices. The apparatus further comprises processing circuitry, configured to process downlink RF signals received via donor antenna and retransmit corresponding downlink signals to one or more user devices via service antenna. Furthermore, processing circuitry measures at least one downlink signal parameter from downlink RF signals received from BTS. Processing circuitry determines target uplink gain value by correlating the measured at least one downlink signal parameter with uplink transmission requirements using lookup table and apply hysteresis operation to target uplink gain value to generate stabilized uplink gain control signal and control uplink gain applied to uplink RF signals received from the one or more user devices based on stabilized uplink gain control signal.
