Abstract: In response to the growing demand for accessible, affordable, and high-quality video and photography equipment, our project focuses on developing an innovative Android application called ren-to-hub. This system is designed to create a structured, secure, and transparent rental marketplace that connects equipment owners with customers such as photographers, filmmakers, content creators, and event organizers. The application ensures authenticity and reliability by verifying every equipment owner and renter through a strict approval process handled by an Admin Control Panel. Equipment owners can list cameras, lenses, lighting kits, drones, stabilizers, and other gear only after submitting valid identification and ownership proofs for verification. Once approved, they gain access to a dedicated dashboard where they can manage listings, set prices, update availability, and track rental activity. Customers, on the other hand, can browse the centralized catalogue, compare equipment, check availability, and place rental requests securely. The admin panel serves as the central authority, overseeing user verification, resolving disputes, monitoring transactions, and ensuring compliance with platform policies. All rental records, user data, and transaction details are stored in a secure centralized database managed exclusively by the admin team, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the process.
