Abstract: A rehabilitation device for gait assessment and therapeutic foot support, comprising an insole body 101 having a top layer 102 for direct contact with a user’s foot and a bottom layer 103 to rest against an inner surface of a shoe, an analysis module to detect a gait pattern of the user, foot-strike pattern, gait phase, uneven pressure distribution, and improper loading over an injured portion of the foot, a support unit comprising multiple inflatable air patches 104 over the top layer 102, multiple conduits 105 with the inflatable air patches 104, multiple controllable valves 106, and an air compressor 107 to selectively inflate one or more of the inflatable air patches 104 based on instructions from the analysis module, a thermal therapy unit to selectively heat or cool predetermined regions of the insole body 101.
