Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network device, a multi-port reference signal (RS) configuration indicating a set of antenna ports, a set of resource elements (REs), and at least one RS resource. In some cases, one or more first antenna ports of the set of antenna ports may be configured with a greater frequency resource-to-antenna port density, a greater time resource-to-antenna port density, or both, for REs allocated to the at least one RS resource than one or more second antenna ports of the set of antenna ports different from the one or more first antenna ports. In some examples, the UE may receive at least one RS transmission according to the multi-port RS configuration.
