Abstract: The invention relates to a recuperator burner base unit (100), comprising: - a burner base (1) having - a burner air port for supplying burner air,- an exhaust gas port for suctioning exhaust gas and - a combustion gas port;- a recuperator (20) connected to the burner base (1) and having a heat transfer body (21) which has separate throughflow channels provided for guiding counterflowing fluids and further has an inner cavity (27) for forming or guiding through a combustion gas line (31, 32); characterised in that - the burner base (1) is designed as a flat burner base element (10) or comprises same, - the burner base element (10) comprises at least one gas guide-through opening (14) for connecting the burner air port (33) to one of the throughflow channels in the recuperator (20) and/or at least one gas guide-through opening (13) for connecting to the exhaust gas port (34) to one of the throughflow channels and/or at least one opening for connection to the combustion gas port (31, 32), - at a front side (10.11) of the burner base element (10) intended for connection to the recuperator (20), a planar support surface (10.3) is provided; and the recuperator is integrally connected to the support surface (10.3).
