MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641077199 A) filed by Vajrakaaya Innovations Pvt. Ltd. on June 23, 2026, for Recovery System And Method For An Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.

Inventors include Deepak Sharma; and Raghav Raj Sukhija.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: A recovery system for an unmanned aerial vehicle having a flight controller (102) and one or more electronic speed controllers comprises a recovery module (114). The recovery module (114) includes a first interface (116) communicating with the flight controller (102); a second interface (118) selectively controlling the electronic speed controllers through a switching element on the signal path between them; a navigation subsystem (120) generating a navigation solution independently of a global navigation satellite system by fusing inertial, visual, and ranging modalities; a storage subsystem (122) retaining recovery parameters in a tamper-resistant element independently of the flight controller (102); and a recovery controller (124). The recovery controller (124) determines a recovery condition from a flight controller (102) operational state and a navigation-integrity measure. In a first mode it causes recovery through the flight controller (102); in a second mode it controls the electronic speed controllers from the navigation solution and recovery parameters, performing attitude stabilization and motor mixing as a backup flight controller (102).
