Inventors include S. Sathya; N. Rajavinu; and R. Priyanka.

The application for the patent was published on August 21, 2026, under issue no. 34/2026.

Abstract: High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems are essential for modern powers transmission; however, DC line faults present significant difficulties, jeopardizing grid stability and causing power. outages _This . study . presents an . innovative __technique, for_ dynamically. reconfiguring bipolar HVDC systems to maintain uninterrupted power supply and strong grid performance during faults. The proposed solution addresses the shortcomings of existing systems, such as slow recovery times and energy losses, by providing seamless fault handling via real-time monitoring and adaptive control mechanisms. The system utilizes transformers and intelligent controllers to track parameters, identify faults, and automatically redirect power to ensure continuous operation. IoT devices facilitate remote surveillance, while MATLAB/Simulink models confirm rapid fault recovery. This method strengthens HVDC infrastructure, guarantees system stability, aids in the integration of renewable energy, and ensures consistent power flow during faults.
