MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611086418 A) filed by Chandigarh University on July 15, 2026, for Real-Time Smart Campus Behavioral Threat Prediction And Automated Response System.

Inventors include Lakshay Raina; Shagun Arora; and Priyansh Mangesh Kale.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an artificial intelligence (AI)-based real-time smart campus behavioral threat prediction and automated response system for enhancing safety and security in educational campuses and other controlled environments. The system comprises a plurality of data acquisition devices including surveillance cameras, crowd density sensors, access-control devices, motion sensors, and environmental sensors, a communication and integration layer, an AI processing and behavioral analysis engine, a behavioral threat prediction and risk scoring module, an automated decision and response controller, a feedback and self-learning module, and a monitoring dashboard. The system integrates multimodal data to analyze behavioral patterns, learn campus-specific activity models, predict potential security threats before their occurrence, generate threat probability scores with predicted locations and time windows, and automatically execute preventive actions including alert generation, camera redirection, access-control management, and optimized security deployment, thereby providing proactive, adaptive, and intelligent campus safety management.
