Abstract: The Real-Time Roadside Waste Collection and Sorting System (RWCS) introduces an automated, scalable, and data-driven solution to modern urban waste management challenges. By integrating computer vision, Internet of Things (IoT) enabled sensors, autonomous robotics, machine learning, and cloud-based analytics, the system effectively mitigates the inefficiencies of conventional manual collection methods. The system actively lowers operational costs, eliminates intensive manual labor, and enhances material-specific recycling accuracy through automated multi-stage segregation. Furthermore, it reduces carbon emissions through dynamic, predictive routing and fosters active citizen collaboration via an interactive mobile application interface.
