MUMBAI, India, Sept. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641064524 A) filed by Srm Institute Of Science And Technology Tiruchirappalli on May 21, 2026, for Real Time Noise Meter Using Op-Amp Log Amplifier.

Inventors include Harsh Yadav; Utkarsh Tiwari; and Dr. K. Vaishnavi.

The application for the patent was published on September 04, 2026, under issue no. 36/2026.

Abstract: This current invention reveals a real-time noise meter that uses an operational amplifier logarithmic amplifier to measure the sound pressure levels in real-time and with high levels of reliability in decibels. The system is intended to offer real-time instantaneous monitoring of noise through the application of analog signal processing. A microphone is used to record environmental sound and to transform this sound into a low-level electrical signal. A pre-amplifier consisting of an operational amplifier is used to amplify this signal to a reasonable signal to work with. The enhanced signal then enters a rectifier circuit which rectifies the alternating signal to a constant and steady direct current voltage of sound intensity.
