MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641115379 A) filed by Sri Eshwar College Of Engineering on September 24, 2026, for Real-Time Multi-Source Disruption Detection And Automated Parametric Claim Triggering System For Gig Workers.
Inventor includes E. Saranya.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: A real-time multi-source disruption detection and automated parametric claim triggering system is disclosed for providing automated income protection to gig workers affected by environmental and service-operational disruptions. The system receives real-time environmental and service-operational data from multiple external sources and processes the data to identify disruption events, associated geographical regions, duration and severity. A data processing and correlation module normalizes and correlates the received information based on temporal and geographical parameters. The system integrates artificial intelligence-based disruption classification, severity assessment, confidence determination, multi-source verification and parametric trigger modules. The AI module analyzes real-time and historical disruption data to determine qualifying events such as extreme temperature, heavy rainfall, poor air quality and service interruptions. The verification mechanism validates detected events using multiple data sources before activating predefined parametric conditions. When the trigger conditions are satisfied, an automated claim module generates a claim without requiring manual submission or conventional loss assessment. A compensation module determines the applicable amount based on policy parameters, disruption severity and duration, while a settlement interface electronically processes the compensation through a designated digital wallet or payment account. The proposed invention provides a real-time, automated and secure mechanism for converting verified disruption events into parametric claims and electronic compensation, reducing manual processing and claim delays while improving timely financial protection for gig workers.
