Abstract: REAL TIME MONITORING OF AMNIOTIC FLUID LEVEL USING A CONTACT BASED WEARABLE HEALTHCARE BELT The present invention discloses a contact-based wearable healthcare device (1) for emergency monitoring of amniotic fluid trends in pregnant women to enable early indication of abnormal conditions without affecting maternal or foetal health. The device (1] comprises a wearable healthcare belt (1] adapted to be positioned around the abdominal region of a pregnant woman, an abdominal sensing unit [2] including non-invasive impedance electrodes (3] configured to detect physiological variations associated with amniotic fluid trends, and a stretch sensor (4] configured to sense abdominal contour changes. A control unit (5) operably connected with the sensing unit (2) processes the detected signals and provides emergency indications through a visual alert indicator (8). The device is powered by a replaceable non-rechargeable battery (6) and operated using a one-touch activation switch (7). The wearable belt (1) further integrates a lower back vibration E o massager module (10] to reduce pregnancy-related back pain while o CM (D O (D O Tf CD CM O cs co co o CD CM O CM tpAn monitoring is in progress. The present invention provides a low-cost, easy to use emergency monitoring solution suitable for home and rural healthcare settings.
