Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a real-time low-altitude hazard avoidance and safe-landing system (100) for an agricultural UAV, comprising a UAV data acquisition module (102), a deep learning-based hazard detection module (104), a control engine (106), a ground station and monitoring module (108), a fail-safe decision engine (110), a sensor acquisition module (112), and a QNX RTOS perception task (114). The system acquires multi-sensor and vision data, detects and classifies low-altitude hazards, and determines a prioritized safety response. The fail-safe decision engine (110) evaluates detected hazards and controls the UAV to perform trajectory correction, sprayer shutdown, return-to-home navigation, flight stabilization, or controlled emergency landing. The QNX RTOS perception task (114) provides deterministic processing of safety-critical operations, while a battery monitoring arrangement and backup power unit support controlled descent during critical power conditions, thereby improving real-time safety and reliability of agricultural UAV operations.
