Abstract: Modern warehouse operations under Industry 4.0 demand automate, real-time inventory visibility that eliminates manual stock verification. This paper presents an IoT- enabled weight-sensing framework that continuously measures shelf-level load using load cells, infers product presence or absence from weight fluctuations, and reports inventory status wirelessly to a cloud dashboard. Load-cell signals are amplified and digitized by an HX711 module and processed by an ESP32 microcontroller, which applies threshold-based logic to flag low-stock and removal events, drives a local LCD/buzzer alert, and streams data to ThingSpeak over Wi-Fi. A prototype incorporating dual load cells and a DHT11 environmental sensor was built and evaluated through both simulation and hardware testing. Across fifty test cycles the system achieved 99.1% average weight-measurement accuracy, a 2.8 s mean alert response time, and 0.8%/0.6% false-positive/false-negative rates, confirming that continuous weight-based sensing is a low-cost, scalable alternative to periodic manual counting or item-level RFID tagging.
