Abstract: REAL-TIME HELMET DETECTION AND MOTORCYCLE SPEED CONTROL SYSTEM USING YOLO AND EMBEDDED MICROCONTROLLER The titled invention discloses a helmet detection and control system that works in real time and responds immediately based on the rider's safety condition. The system uses a camera (9) to continuously observe the rider to check whether the helmet is being 10 worn. The video is processed frame by frame and the result is confirmed over a short period of time before taking action. This helps avoid sudden mistakes or false detection. The goal was to make the system stable and reliable during normal usage. Once the system confirms the result, it sends a signal to the hardware section. Microcontroller (1) to receive this signal and control the motor (3) through a motor 15 driver (2). If the rider is wearing helmet the motor (3) runs at normal speed without any restriction. But if the rider is not worn helmet the motor (3) speed is reduced gradually. This, gradual reduction is important because it makes the response feel safe and controlled rather than sudden or uncomfortable. In case the system cannot detect a person at all the motor {3) stops completely as a precaution. Another part of the system 20 is the display unit (4) which shows the current status in simple words. Messages like "Helmet Detected," "No Helmet," or "No Signal" are shown on the screen. This, makes it easier for. the user to understand what the system is doing at that moment. Instead of just recording helmet violations or issuing fines later the system reacts instantly and directly affects the vehicle operation. In simple terms it encourages safer riding 25 behavior while the rider is still on the road.
