MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541025145 A) filed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited on March 20, 2025, for Real Time Engine Monitoring System For Aircraft With Integrated Display Control.
Inventors include Lingari Shiva Krishna; and Poojari P. K.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: Real time Engine Monitoring system for aircraft with integrated display control comprises processor module for the real-time acquisition, conversion, processing, and display of fuel and engine parameters in an aircraft. The system receives analog sensor inputs from onboard fuel and engine monitoring systems and converts them into digital signals using an Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC). The digitized data is processed within a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), where it is formatted into hexadecimal values and 7-segment display data for cockpit visualization. The processed data is stored in onboard memory and transmitted to airborne avionics using a high-speed communication interface (such as CAN bus, RS-422, or ARINC 429). The system further incorporates fault detection and error correction mechanisms to enhance data accuracy and reliability. This invention provides a highly efficient, low-latency, and reconfigurable solution for real-time aircraft engine monitoring, improving flight safety, operational efficiency and system
