MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611060003 A) filed by Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun on May 12, 2026, for Real-Time Emotional Regulation Via Smart Glasses With Multimodal Sensing And Audio Guidance.

Inventors include Vedant Saxena; Dr. Anubha Pundir; and Manika Manwal.

The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT REAL-TIME EMOTIONAL REGULATION VIA SMART GLASSES WITH MULTIMODAL SENSING AND AUDIO GUIDANCE The invention relates to wearable physiological monitoring and adaptive neuro-wellness systems, and particularly to a smart spectacle-based closed-loop system and method for real-time emotional regulation. A spectacle frame houses electrocardiogram electrodes at the nose-pad region, a photoplethysmography sensor at a temple-contact region, galvanic skin response electrodes on inward-facing temple-arm portions, an inertial measurement unit, signal conditioning circuitry, and a preprocessing and filtering stage for generating synchronized feature sets from physiological and motion data. An on-device processor classifies wearer state into categories including calm, focused, anxious, stressed and distracted, and a policy engine selects an auditory intervention from stored content. An audio scheduler derives onset timing, cadence and spacing from beat markers, pulse intervals or inferred breathing rhythm, and a bone-conduction audio driver circuit with one or more bone-conduction transducers delivers the intervention. The system continuously updates classification output for adaptive continuation, modification or suppression of subsequent interventions.
