Abstract: A real time alcohol detection and intelligent vehicle entry system is disclosed, comprising a contactless breath sampling module (112) that draws an air sample from a person approaching a vehicle entry point without requiring a mouthpiece. An alcohol sensor array (110) and an independent secondary confirmation sensor (130) generate primary and secondary alcohol concentration signals from the sample, which a central control unit (118) combines with ambient temperature and humidity data from an environmental compensation sensor (126) to compute a compensated breath alcohol concentration value. A biometric identity verification module (114) and a liveness and proximity detection module (116) bind the measurement to the verified, contemporaneously present person. The central control unit (118) independently actuates a vehicle entry lock actuator (120) and an ignition interlock relay (122) based on the compensated value, and permits emergency entry via the vehicle entry lock actuator (120) under a designated override condition while maintaining the ignition interlock relay (122) disabled, thereby balancing safety, emergency access, and reliable prevention of impaired driving.
