MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611116950 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering And Technology Niet on September 30, 2026, for Real-Time Adaptive Digital Twin System For Four-Dimensional Fluid Dynamics Reconstruction From Optimized Sparse Sensor Arrays.
Inventors include Sanjay Kumar; and Dr. Shahazad Ali.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: A real-time adaptive digital twin system (100) comprising physical sensors (112), GPU-accelerated hardware (162), and a hierarchical deep operator network (140) for reconstructing four-dimensional fluid dynamics fields from optimized sparse sensor arrays is disclosed. The system comprises a sensor optimization module (120) autonomously determining physical sensor placements by maximizing Fisher information, a multi-scale branch network ensemble (142) processing sensor data at multiple resolutions, a domain-decomposed trunk network (144) with sigmoid-based soft gating, a physics consistency enforcement module (150) computing governing equation residuals, and a confidence estimation feedback module (180) implementing closed-loop sensor reconfiguration. The operator network is pretrained on multi- fidelity simulation databases and adapted through test-time adaptation. The system achieves real-time volumetric reconstruction at ten reconstructions per second applicable to cardiovascular hemodynamics, industrial pipe networks, and aerodynamic testing.
