The request includes information that indicates one or more ambient IoT device capabilities or types. The method includes selecting at least one reader of ambient IoT devices based on at least the one or more ambient IoT device capabilities or types. And the method includes performing an operation to advance the request toward the at least one reader to activate one or more ambient IoT devices having the one or more ambient IoT device capabilities or types to fulfill the request.
