Abstract: The present disclosure provides a configuration of a system that includes a turbine with impeller section and a nozzle section peripheral and downstream the impeller section. The turbine is a two-phase reaction turbine that employs an isothermal expansion process within its nozzle section. Heat transfer liquid (HTL) and working fluid (WF) are mixed prior to entering the nozzle. The mixture of the HTL and the WF starts at a high pressure Pl at the inlet of the nozzle and ends at a low pressure PO at the outlet of the nozzle, therefore the WF expands within the nozzle and provides kinetic energy to the HTL and therefore to the mixture that causes the acceleration of the mixture towards the outlet of the nozzle. Since all the process is carried out on a rotating turbine, the mixture may tend to be pushed to the walls of the nozzle by the rotational forces as a result of non-symmetrical forces applied on the mixture, which can affect the efficiency of the energy production by the turbine. In order to eliminate such non-symmetrical forces, the nozzle is designed with a curved shape such that the center of mass of the mixture that flows in the nozzle flows at a straight line from a frame the perspective of the inertial system. Namely, the curvature profile of the nozzle is determined according to the intended RPM operation of the turbine. In other words, the nozzle is designed such that the forces acting on the mixture flow in the nozzle causing its center of mass to flow along a flow path that is in the center of the nozzle, at a given operational rotational velocity.
