MUMBAI, India, June 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641070396 A) filed by Vijay Kumar Nethi Pandu on June 05, 2026, for Reachai Vision Screening.

Inventor includes Vijay Kumar Nethi Pandu.

The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to REACH AI VISION Screening, a system and method for virtual reality-based vision testing and screening processing using a smartphone-based stereoscopic headset and software-driven control platform. The invention enables remote administration of vision screening through real-time communication between an assistant interface and a patient interface. The system comprises an assistant device and a patient device connected through a real-time communication layer. The patient device includes a smartphone placed inside a stereoscopic headset, wherein the smartphone display is divided into two halves to enable binocular virtual reality-based visual delivery. The assistant interface remotely controls the screening workflow, including session initiation, test phase selection, eye switching, and response recording. Session initiation is performed through a dynamically generated session code or QR code to establish a synchronized connection. The system further enables digital monocular occlusion by masking portions of the display to independently test each eye without physical occlusion devices. Real-time two-way audio communication enables interaction between the assistant and patient during screening. The system includes software-driven screening modules comprising distance visual acuity screening using dynamically adjustable optotypes, astigmatism screening using radial line patterns, colour vision screening using pseudoisochromatic plates, near vision screening using variable text sizes, digital monocular occlusion for independent eye testing, and remote assistant-controlled screening workflow. The invention further includes software modules for session management, real-time communication, visual rendering, screening logic, audio communication, and data management. Screening results are automatically compiled, processed, and stored in structured electronic records. The invention provides a portable, scalable, and software-driven screening solution.
