A method comprises obtaining a plurality of numerologies for a plurality of random access channel (RACH) occasions (ROs), wherein the plurality of numerologies are associated with different subcarrier spacing (SCS) values and the plurality of ROs are multiplexed in a common resource set in time and frequency domains; and transmitting, to a network apparatus, a preamble on a RACH occasion (RO) corresponding to a numerology of the plurality of numerologies.
