MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541011991 A) filed by Jain Deemed-To-Be University on February 12, 2025, for Raking Assistive Device For Mortar Joints.
Inventor includes Dr. Anusudha Visvanathan.
The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: A raking assistive device for mortar joints, comprising a platform 101 positioned on a ground surface, multiple wheels 102 to move platform 101 in proximity to a under construction vertical support, an imaging unit 103 to determine condition of mortar joints of support, an extendable L-shaped rod 104 installed on platform 101 to extend for positioning a slab 105 integrated on end of rod, in proximity to joint, a blade 106 via an extendable L-shaped link 107 that extends/retracts for positioning blade 106 on joint, a scotch yoke arrangement 108 is integrated in between blade 106 and link 107 for providing a linear movement to blade 106 over joint, for scraping extra mortar from joint, a conduit 109 configured with a suction unit 110, integrated on platform 101, which extract removed mortar that is transferred via conduit 109 into a chamber 111 installed on platform 101.
