Abstract: By filling a space inside a double wall structure, such as a space between a body structure and an interior of a railway vehicle or in a floor plate core material with a sound absorbing material, it is possible to reduce vehicle interior noise while reducing man-hours for sound absorbing material filling, even when dimensional accuracy of the body structure of the railway vehicle is low. The railway vehicle in which the space between the body structure and the interior or the floor plate core material of the vehicle body is filled with the sound absorbing material, is characterized in that, the sound absorbing material has a sparse-and-dense arrangement by disposing a fiber material having a sparse bulk density and a small thickness adjacent to a fiber material having a compression margin with which a central portion of a sound absorbing material mounting member is filled.
