Abstract: Disclosed is a radiographic patient guidance system comprising a display screen unit positioned for viewing by a patient in a radiographic examination room, a central control processor, a radiographic procedure database, an audio-visual communication system, and an integration interface communicatively coupled with a radiographic console. The integration interface receives an indication of a selected radiographic procedure or radiographic view from the radiographic console. In response, the central control processor retrieves corresponding instructional content from the radiographic procedure database and causes the display screen unit to present a visual demonstration of a required patient position or patient action associated with the selected procedure. The audio-visual communication system provides an audio prompt corresponding to the visual demonstration and enables remote communication between a technologist and the patient before or during image acquisition, thereby supporting procedure-specific positioning guidance and patient readiness confirmation.
