Abstract: The invention presents a Radar-Based Smart Glasses System developed to assist visually impaired individuals in detecting obstacles and enhancing independent mobility. The system employs an FMCW radar sensor mounted on the glasses to sense objects within a defined range. The sensor data is transmitted through a wired high-speed SPI connection to a microcontroller (ESP32-S3) housed in a small pocket device. The microcontroller processes radar signals in real time, stores obstacle data using an SDIO microSD module, and provides instant voice alerts through an I²S DAC (MAX98357A) connected to a small speaker on the glasses. The system operates on a rechargeable Li-Po battery managed by a TP4056 charging module, ensuring safety, portability, and energy efficiency. The device gives multilingual audio alerts (English, Hindi, Telugu) such as “Obstacle ahead in 2 meters,” helping the user navigate safely. The current version uses wired communication for reliable and low-latency data transfer, while future versions aim
