MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514002897 A) filed by Novelic Doo Beograd Zvezdara on January 13, 2025, for Radar Sensor With A Wide Field Of View.

Inventors include Veselin Brankovic; Milos Jovicic; Nenad Simic; Veljko Mihajlovic; Rados Vreljakovic; Raffaele Soloperto; and Darko Tasovac.

The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: A mmWave radar sensor module is proposed, to have a specific structure enabling a 180° Field of 5 View (FoV) with an affordable system cost. The proposed mmWave radar sensor module is put to use in passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), as well as motorcycles and bikes, enabling a variety of application features: smart parking assistance, replacing PDC sensors, determining the distance, speed and angle of targets, including their tracking, detection of people, tracking of people, tailgate and door protection by restricting 10 opening, gesture and kick sensing, and other applications. In the case of two- wheelers and threewheelers, the same apparatus may cover also blind sport detection application in the affordable system manner.
