The application for the patent was published on August 21, 2026, under issue no. 34/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a Quantum-Secured Bidirectional Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) Energy Trading Architecture for smart microgrids, designed to enable secure, efficient, and trustless energy transactions between Electric Vehicles (EVs), prosumers, and grid operators. The proposed architecture integrates quantum key distribution (QKD) and post-quantum cryptographic protocols to establish tamper-proof communication channels for real-time energy bidding, authentication, and settlement. A decentralized energy trading framework is implemented using a distributed ledger to record bidirectional energy flow, pricing, and contract execution between EVs and the microgrid without reliance on a centralized intermediary. The system comprises a quantum-secured communication layer, a smart contract-based trading engine, an EV-side energy management unit, and a microgrid control node configured to authenticate devices, validate transactions, and dynamically optimize energy dispatch based on grid load, battery state-of-charge (SoC), and user preferences. The architecture mitigates cyber-physical threats such as data interception, spoofing, and double-spending attacks during V2G operations. It further supports demand-response participation, peak load shaving, and frequency regulation while ensuring data integrity and user privacy through quantum-enhanced encryption. The invention provides a scalable, secure, and economically viable solution for next- generation smart microgrids with high EV penetration. Keywords: Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G), Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), Smart Microgrid, Energy Trading, Post- Quantum Cryptography, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, Distributed Energy Resources.
