MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541084267 A) filed by Qunu Labs Private Limited on September 04, 2025, for Quantum Key Distribution System And Method Using A Plurality Of Transmission Channels.
Inventor includes Krishnan Rajesh Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: Disclosed is a quantum key distribution system (102) using plurality of transmission channels (104). The system includes plurality of transmission channels, each transmission channel comprising source configured to generate sequence of weak coherent optical pulses, intensity modulator unit (108) configured to select pulse intensity value from set of predefined intensity values including signal intensity value and decoy intensity value, and phase modulator unit (110) configured to encode information in phase differences between successive weak coherent optical pulses. Combining unit (112) is configured to combine weak coherent optical pulses from plurality of transmission channels into combined optical signal. Receiver (114) includes interference unit (116) configured to combine successive pulses of combined optical signal and at least one single-photon detector (118) configured to detect interference outputs and generate detection data. The system enables improved detection opportunities and supports secure key generation through evaluation of detection rate and quantum bit error rate. FIG. 1
