MUMBAI, India, June 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641068819 A) filed by Sr University on June 01, 2026, for Quantum Dot Based Targeted Drug Delivery Composition.
Inventors include Dr. Nagaraju Gajjela; and Dr. K Srishailam.
The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: A quantum dot based targeted drug delivery composition, comprises of multiple quantum dots, a stabilizing inner surface layer comprising one or more biocompatible surface ligands to improve colloidal stability of the quantum dots in physiological media and reduce non-specific interactions, a functional outer surface layer comprises at least one target-specific binding ligand selected from an antibody, peptide, aptamer, or receptor-binding molecule to selectively bind a desired biomolecular or cellular target, at least one therapeutic payload associated with the quantum dots through a controllable linkage, the controllable linkage is configured to enable reduced premature payload release in physiological media and to enable preferential payload release at a target site.
