Inventors include Dr. Poonam Kanta; Mr. Jimmy Bhambra; Mr. Sachin Verma; and Mr. Sanjeev Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a quantitative Real time PCR assay kit for rapid detection of Hepatitis B infections. In an aspect of the invention, a quantitative real- time PCR assay kit for rapid detection and quantification of Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in human samples. The kit consists a forward primer having SEQ ID 1, a reverse primer having SEQ ID 2, wherein the forward primer and reverse primer specifically amplify a conserved region of the HBV genome across genotypes A–J., a fluorescent probe having SEQ ID 3, wherein the fluorescent probe is labelled with a FAM reporter dye and BHQ1 quencher for fluorescence-based detection of amplified HBV DNA, a real-time PCR master mix comprising DNA polymerase, buffer, nucleotides, and stabilizing reagents, wherein the master mix is provided in a lyophilized or liquid stabilized form to enable storage and transportation without significant loss of activity, positive control and quantitative standard controls for generation of a standard curve for viral load estimation and nuclease-free water.
