Abstract: The titled invention discloses a novel, natural, and biodegradable adhesive bandage designed for advanced wound care. The invention incorporates a carbon dot (1)-infused hydrogel pad (2) loaded with bioactive phytochemicals from medicinal plants such as neem, palash, moringa, ginger, and marigold. These bioactive agents exhibit antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and regenerative properties, ensuring sustained and targeted wound healing. The outer scaffold (4) of the bandage is made from durable, stretchable cellulose nanofibers using electrospinning technology, and the adhesive layer is derived from guar gum extract, ensuring skin compatibility without synthetic residues. The BioWrap is engineered for use on high-mobility areas such as joints, offering excellent stretchability, compression resilience, and long-term adhesion. This eco-conscious bandage addresses both clinical needs and environmental sustainability, offering a superior alternative to conventional plastic-based wound dressings.
