Abstract: ABSTRACT “QAC Based Residual Disinfectant Composition with Controlled Release Film and Process for Preparation Thereof” The present invention relates to a disinfectant composition comprising Two chain quaternary ammonium compounds (QACs) and polyethyloxazoline as a film-forming binder. The composition optionally includes silicone resin, collagen nanofibers, surfactants, and solvents. Upon application and drying, the composition forms a thin antimicrobial film on surfaces, enabling controlled release of QAC and providing sustained antimicrobial activity. The invention also relates to a process for preparing the composition using controlled mixing and homogenization techniques. The composition demonstrates improved residual efficacy, adhesion, and durability compared to conventional disinfectants.
