Abstract: Present disclosure provides for mitigating cyber-attacks on a pulse width modulation (PWM) controlled device includes generating, by a primary controller having network connectivity, a first PWM control signal for controlling the PWM controlled device during normal operating conditions. A monitoring module monitors operations of the PWM controlled device and detects a device malfunction condition. The monitoring module triggers a switching circuit to switch control from the primary controller to at least one secondary controller isolated from the network connectivity. The at least one secondary controller controls the PWM controlled device during the device malfunction condition by generating a second PWM control signal upon detecting the trigger.
