Abstract: [Problem] To improve a purification treatment ability without increasing the size of a purification treatment device when the purification treatment device is constituted by an anaerobic tank that does not need supply of oxygen. [Solution] A purification treatment device 1 comprises: an anaerobic flow tank 4 in which a number of filter mediums 10 that are carriers of anaerobic microorganisms are held such that the filter mediums 10 can flow; a storage tank 8 which is disposed on the upstream side of the anaerobic flow tank 4 and in which waste water 2 to be subjected to a purification treatment is stored; a communication path 13 through which the storage tank 8 and the anaerobic flow tank 4 are in communication with each other; and an opening and closing valve mechanism 9 in which one open end 14 of the communication path 13 that is located on the storage tank 8 side is closed by a valve 15 and the one open end 14 can be opened by the movement of the valve 15 that is caused by a flow of the waste water 2 into the storage tank 8.
