Abstract: ABSTRACT Disclosed herein is a pulmonary diagnostic system (100) for reconstruction-guided disease classification and reliability assessment that comprises a user interface unit (102), an image acquisition unit (104), a processing unit (106), an output unit (126), a memory unit (128), and a communication unit (130). The processing unit (106) includes a pre-processing module (108), a feature extraction module (110), a segmentation module (112), a reconstruction module (114), a classification module (116), a consistency assessment module (118), an anatomical assessment module (120), a reliability assessment module (122), and a calibration module (124). The system (100) reconstructs a chest X-ray image from a latent feature representation, compares the original and reconstructed images, evaluates anatomical consistency, and combines the resulting consistency measures with classification probability to generate a calibrated diagnostic reliability output.
