The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: A prosthetic transcatheter heart valve (THV) delivery system (10) for use in minimally invasive cardiac valve replacement procedures comprises a catheter assembly having a multi-layered outer shaft (12) with an outer layer (12a), an intermediate braided layer (12b) for kink resistance and torsional rigidity, and an inner layer (12c) defining a smooth lumen. An inner shaft (13) extends coaxially within the outer shaft (12) to accommodate a guidewire. At the distal end (18), a biconical balloon (20) is disposed around a support tube (22) carrying multiple holes (15) serving dual functions for adhesive bonding and inflation fluid flow. A tip (26) is provided at the distal-most point, with a deliberate gap (27) defined between the distal end of the support tube (22) and the tip (26) to optimize fluid distribution for uniform valve expansion. At least one stopper (24) mounted on the support tube (22), each having a cylindrical conical outer profile (34) with a taper angle of greater than 0 to 45 degrees to distribute crimping forces, and one or more holes (14) for adhesive fixation and fluid flow.
