The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a portable telescopic accessibility ramp for facilitating movement of wheelchairs and mobility aids across steps and other elevation differences. The ramp comprises a plurality of mutually nested hollow metal sections movable between a compact retracted configuration and a plurality of extended operative configurations. A left wheel-track rail, a right wheel-track rail, and associated structural deck sections are provided with a common telescopic extension geometry such that the respective portions extend and retract in a coordinated manner without requiring separate length adjustment. An indexed locking mechanism, preferably comprising a spring-loaded pin cooperating with predetermined indexing formations, secures the ramp at selected operative lengths. The structural deck preferably comprises expanded metal mesh to reduce weight, permit drainage and facilitate cleaning. The wheel-track rails provide lateral guidance to wheelchair wheels, while rubber support members provide frictional engagement with supporting surfaces. The nested construction enables compact storage and transportation and provides a rapidly deployable temporary accessibility solution.
