Abstract: The present invention relates to a profile transverse rolling method for producing a toothing profile (22) having shaped elements in the profile run-in (24) on a workpiece (20), in particular a toothing profile (22) having a conical or cylindrical threading chamfer or a pointed portion in the profile run-in (24), by means of at least one rolling tool (2) which is provided with at least one toothing profile forming region (12) and at least one shaped element profile forming region (14) which are arranged in an axial direction one behind the other in relation to an axis of rotation of the workpiece (20). There is provided a step of axially offsetting the workpiece (20) relative to the rolling tool (2) after a first infeed-rolling process and before a second infeed-rolling process.
