Abstract: Provided in the embodiments of the present disclosure are processing methods for an uplink positioning reference signal configuration. A method is executed by a user equipment (UE) and comprises: according to a preset rule, releasing or storing an uplink positioning reference signal configuration, the uplink positioning reference signal configuration being used for uplink positioning when the UE is in an RRC non-connected state. According to the preset rule, the UE releases or stores the uplink positioning reference signal configuration used in the RRC non-connected state, so as to reduce release performed when the UE does not need to release the uplink positioning reference signal configuration used in the RRC non-connected state, thereby reducing further requests for the uplink positioning reference signal configuration to a first network device due to excess release by the UE, and reducing signaling overheads.
