Abstract: TITLE: PROCESS OF PREPARATION OF ALCOHOL-FREE POST-HAND WASH HERBAL SKIN BARRIER SPRAY APPLICANT: 1. MEENAKSHI ACADEMY OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH 2. MEENAKSHI COLLEGE OF NURSING ABSTRACT A process for preparation of an alcohol-free post-hand wash herbal skin barrier spray, comprising washing, shade-drying, pulverizing, and subjecting Azadirachta indica, Ocimum sanctum, and Curcuma longa to aqueous decoction extraction, followed by cooling and sequential filtration to obtain respective herbal extracts. Glycerin, aloe polysaccharide, and hydroxypropyl cellulose are dissolved in purified water under stirring to obtain an aqueous base. The neem, tulsi, and turmeric extracts are incorporated sequentially into the aqueous base under continuous stirring to form a homogeneous solution. The pH of the resulting solution is adjusted using a citrate buffer system comprising citric acid and sodium citrate, followed by addition of sodium benzoate as a preservative. The formulation is sterile-filtered through a membrane filter under aseptic conditions and filled into pre-sterilized amber spray bottles under laminar airflow and immediately sealed to obtain alcohol free post hand wash herbal skin barrier spray.
