Abstract: Process of formulating Euphorbia Neriifolia Extract Gel in Treating Diabetic Wound Infections This invention describes a formulation of Euphorbia Neriifolia (EN) extract gel designed for the treatment of Escherichia coli-infected wounds in diabetic patients. The gel utilizes a Soxhlet extraction method with n-hexane to harness the antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties of EN, which are integrated into a Carbopol 934 gel base for sustained delivery. Methylparaben is included as a preservative, and triethanolamine is used to adjust the pH to skin-compatible levels. The gel effectively promotes wound contraction, re-epithelialization, reduces bacterial load, and enhances tissue regeneration, as demonstrated in diabetic patients. This therapeutic formulation addresses the critical need for effective wound management in diabetic patients, offering a potent alternative to standard treatments and enhancing the healing process through its bioactive phytochemical composition and optimized delivery system.
