Abstract: ABSTRACT PROCESS OF ENHANCING WEATHER RESISTANCE AND VISUAL APPEARANCE OF STEEL SUBSTRATE A process of enhancing visual appearance and weather resistance of a steel substrate is provided. The process comprises cleaning surface of the steel substrate. The process also comprises heating the steel substrate to a first predetermined temperature in a furnace. The process further comprises holding the steel substrate at the first predetermined temperature for a first predetermined time. The process comprises cooling the steel substrate to room temperature. The cooled steel substrate achieves gold (luster brownish) patina coloration.
