MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511011599 A) filed by Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited on February 12, 2025, for Process For The Preparation Of 1,6-Divinylperfluorohexane.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an efficient and industrially amenable process for preparing 1,6-divinylperfluorohexane (C6DV) of Formula (I). 1,6- divinylperfluorohexane (C6DV) or dodecafluoro-1,9-decadiene or 3,3,4,4,5,5,6,6,7,7,8,8-dodecafluoro-1,9-decadiene obtained by the process of present invention is useful as intermediate(s) of various useful chemical entities besides used to produce fluorinated elastomers, fluorinated diene compounds as monomer precursors for block copolymers, silicon-containing polymers or membranes etc.
