MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441104481 A) filed by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited on December 30, 2024, for Process For Synthesis Of Adsorbent For Carbon Dioxide Capture From Air.
Inventors include Mishra, Hemant; Kumari, Sanju; Kumar, Pramod; Kukade, Somanath; Mishra, Prashant; Sundaram, Sriram; and Maheshwari, Vipul Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a process for synthesis of 13X zeolite and 13X adsorbent in carbon dioxide impurities capture from air in pre-purification unit of Cryogenic Nitrogen separation unit. The 13X adsorbent is synthesized in less time and binding of adsorbent is improved by dual binder. Dual binder combination includes one organic binder and one inorganic binder combination. Specifically, the present invention relates to a 13X zeolite adsorbent used for improving carbon dioxide adsorption capacity during carbon dioxide impurities capture from air in pre-purification unit of Cryogenic Nitrogen separation unit.
